LEARNER PERMIT AND MORE
Teen Drivers

The Graduated Driver License (GDL) program is designed for teen drivers under 18 to gain experience behind the wheel. The program phases in driving privileges for new teen drivers through a Learner Permit and an Intermediate License.


CLASS D DRIVER LICENSE
Adult Drivers (18+)

An Oklahoma Class D Driver License is available to adults over 18 that pass their written, vision, and drive tests. A Class D License provides standard driving privileges.


NON-DRIVER OKLAHOMA ID
State ID Card

An Oklahoma ID card is used primarily as a proof of identity, but does not provide driving privileges.

If you are a new resident of Oklahoma and have moved from another state, you will need to transfer your license to an Oklahoma Driver License, Learner Permit, or Commercial Driver License (CDL), and register your vehicles.
